What is RSAweb on Evotel?
RSAweb on Evotel pairs a Cape Town-headquartered ISP known for strong support and bundled mesh hardware with one of the few fibre networks that actually prioritised smaller-town and secondary-city South Africa instead of fighting for metro market share. Evotel covers Free State, Mpumalanga, parts of Eastern Cape and a growing list of inland towns where most of the big-name ISPs barely operate.
The arrangement is the standard SA model: Evotel owns and maintains the cable into your home, RSAweb is the ISP doing your billing, support and upstream connection. RSAweb runs all Evotel packages month-to-month with no early-termination penalty, and includes free Wi-Fi mesh hardware on the mid and top tiers.
RSAweb is one of several ISPs on this network, and in the towns Evotel covers the choice that matters is which ISP you buy from rather than which network reaches you. Compare the whole network side by side on our Evotel fibre deals page before settling on RSAweb - it carries every ISP we track on Evotel, with price per Mbps on each line.
A comparison of Evotel deals
We track 17 live Evotel packages from RSAweb. Here's how the line-up shapes up.
| Metric | Value | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest line | R449 | 30/30 Mbps · Mweb |
| Fastest line | 850 Mbps | R1 299/month · Evotel |
| Best value | R1.53/Mbps | 850 Mbps at R1 299 |
| Symmetrical | 17 of 17 | packages upload at download speed |
Evotel is often the only meaningful fibre option in the towns it covers - if you're in Bloemfontein, Witbank or similar, the comparison is between ISPs on Evotel rather than between networks. RSAweb's mesh-included offering is competitive at the 50 Mbps and above tiers.
