The editorial team
FastestFibre is an independent South African fibre research and comparison site. We test live ISP pricing, address-level coverage and connection performance across every major fibre network operator so households don't have to.
How we work
Address-level coverage, not marketing maps
We query Vumatel, Openserve, Frogfoot, Octotel and MetroFibre coverage APIs at street level. The deals we surface are the ones genuinely available at your address - not the ones a network would like to sell.
Live retail pricing, not last-year's brochure
Every package shown is reviewed at the ISP signup page on the day of publication. When wholesale prices move (most recently Vumatel's April 2026 change), we re-confirm the affected tiers across all 75+ ISPs.
Editorial independence from network operators
We earn commission when readers buy via the affiliate links to partner ISPs. We never accept money to change a ranking, hide a deal, or remove a critical paragraph. Recommendations are what we'd give a friend asking which fibre to buy.
Sources we trust over claims we can't verify
Independent benchmarks (Ookla Speedtest Global Index, Netflix ISP Speed Index, MyBroadband quarterly tests, TrustPilot) over ISP marketing copy. When we cite a number, we link the source.
Editorial team
FastestFibre is researched and written by a small independent editorial team based in South Africa. All articles are reviewed by the team before publishing; reviewed-on dates appear on every long-form article.
